Hope you're well.

It's difficult to know where to start this particular podcast because in some ways it's

been difficult enough for us.

The obviously we'd be born this last weekend but midweek has not been so great on the pitch

and off the pitch for reasons that you all know and that we'll touch on between now and

the end of the show.

But when you put it in the context of what's happened elsewhere this week, the tragic

events in Colombia, the plane crash which cost the lives of so many of the team from Brazil,

Capacuense, the backroom staff, the management media, journalists, the crew on the plane,

it sort of puts it in, I guess, some kind of perspective.

It's so unspeakably sad and tragic to witness or be witness to such a loss of life.

I think we can all immediately frame it within our own context of if it's Arsenal or if

it's some other club.

We watch a team that travels all around Europe, that travels everywhere across the world

to play football and it's, I don't really know what else to say about it other than it's

just horrible.

It goes without saying, of course, that every sympathy goes to friends and the families

and everybody associated with our football club and to most people in Brazilian football

who will be profoundly shocked and grief-stricken by what's happened.
