I remember going to bed that night sobbing in tears and saying, Jason, what did we just do?

Did we make a mistake?

I don't think we should have said yes.

And I'm not going to lie, that happened many nights.

And Jason, being the calm rock of a husband, I have, I will never forget the words coming

from his mouth saying, Courtney, you never make a mistake taking in a child that needs a

home.

for you, and I just want to say again, welcome. Today, you're going to meet Courtney Strom, and you

are going to love her.

Courtney is married to Jason, and they have three great kids and our foster parents.

I love this family.

Jason and Courtney are on the Forgotten Initiatives Board, and they are my very dear friends.

Now, maybe you or someone you know has thought about foster care in the past, but the fear of the unknown is overwhelming, and the prospect of bringing kids into your home, kids you don't know, feels just too big. Well, if this is you, you are not alone. The work of foster care is big. It's certainly bigger than us. But if God is

calling you to this, you can rest and hope in the fact that he is bigger than your fears.
