attacked members of President Trump's cabinet. She is former Secretary of Education Betsy

DeVos, who worked for the Trump administration from 2017 to January of this year.

Secretary DeVos has been deeply involved in education policy for decades, working tirelessly

as a passionate advocate of school choice. As she described in 2013 interview,

quote, what we're trying to do is tear down the mindset that assigned students to a school

based solely on the zip code of their family's home. We advocate instead for as much freedom as

possible. Secretary DeVos is the former chair of both the American Federation for Children and

also the philanthropy round table board of directors. She also served on a number of other local

and national boards, including Art Prize, the American Enterprise Institute, the foundation

1:51.8

for excellence in education and DeVos Institute for Arts Management at the University of Maryland.
