Summary
We have a returning guest this week. Chris Casado was the guy who was able to help me overcome the difficulties I was having with altitude out West, by getting me, in a guided hike, to the top of Mt Whitney. It remains one of my proudest moments.

I wanted to catch up with Chris to get his perspective of our hike and the many others he's involved with. He's an interesting character who gives a lot of himself in the service of others.

You can find out more about TSX and the other hikes at their website, at https://tsxchallenge.com/
Also, you can follow them on Facebook at https://m.facebook.com/tsxchallenge and on Instagram at https://instagram.com/tsx.challenge

With just two members of our Mighty BLue Class of 2023 still out there, we hear from Jessica at the summit of Mt Katahdin and Joanne from Erwin, TN. Check out Jessica's summit picture below.

| 0:00.0 | You are listening to the Hiking Radio Network, where we taught the walk with shows by hikers |
| 0:05.3 | about hikers for everybody. Mighty Blue on the Appalachian Trail, the ultimate midlife crisis, joined Steve and his guests every week as he staggers from Georgia to Maine. |
| 0:33.5 | Hey guys, it's Thursday and we're back again. You're listening to Me, Mighty Blue or Steve Adams, |

| 0:55.8 | He has set up TSX challenge and I am on the show to tell us all about that. As you probably |
| 1:00.7 | all know, I'd failed in three attempts to complete the John Mood Trail. And as we were chatting, |
| 1:06.5 | I guess I was probably moaning about those failures, well, Chris told me that he could get me to the |
| 1:10.9 | top of Whitney. Well, long story short, as you know, he did. Last year I had on all of Team 6, |
| 1:16.9 | which was our team name, to talk about that hike and how it affected us all. I'll tell you, |
| 1:22.3 | it was both deep and meaningful and long-lasting. I'd never been on such a difficult team effort in which all of |
| 1:29.3 | us succeeded and we each took joy in each other's successes. It was quite a lesson. But I hadn't |
| 1:34.8 | included Chris in that conversation, mainly because I wanted to hear the story of us as hikers without |
| 1:39.4 | his perspective. Well, I'm now getting that perspective and I think you'll find he's a fascinating |
| 1:43.9 | guy with some deep, strong thoughts on hiking out west. Chris's Well, I'm now getting that perspective and I think you'll find he's a fascinating guy |

| 1:50.2 | Also today we're here again from Jessica and Joanne, including a few tears from the top of |
| 1:55.2 | Catan. They'll both be on after Chris. Finally, we have quite a long conclusion to Chapter 22 of Then the |
| 2:02.4 | Howe Came by George Stephanus. I shall let you all know that I'm considering reading a book next |
| 2:07.7 | about the AT written by a woman. No, I won't be changing my voice because I'm really just |
| 2:14.9 | reading you all a book. More news about that soon. |
