Edith Bowman. And over the next couple of weeks, we're going to be throwing extra bonus episodes

your way because, well, because we can. And because there is so much great conversation to be

had around film, music and TV. So that, my

friends, is what we are going to do. And that's what today's episode is all about. You might

remember back a couple of months ago, I was lucky enough to sit down with Eddie Hamilton and

Cecil Turner Sack, music editor and editor, talking about

the latest Mission Impossible film. And within that conversation, we talked quite a bit about

Top Gun Maverick that they both worked on. And so, if you remember, if you listen to the

episode, if you didn't, go back and listen. I said to them, it would be great to do a Top Gun special.

And so we have.

For no other reason than we wanted to have the conversation.

In fact, I think a few cinemas are putting it back in as well.

And the conversation is just so interesting because we're taking a deep dive

into the music of Top Gun in this bonus episode of soundtracking because Eddie and Cecil discuss in

such detail their work on the film needless to say this conversation features plenty of spoilers but

it's not one you'll want to listen to

unless you've seen the film. So wonderfully granular is the detail that they go into.

They give us the stories behind the songs, the score, the sound design and also serve up a

rather lovely Easter egg for you to look out for next time you watch the film.
