This is Desi Jettiken. We're back with our final episode on Joe Francis.

Once again, my sources include his own writing on his website, the documentary on Peacock, Girls Gone Wild, The Untold Story.

This is with journalist Sachi Cole, who also did a lot of writing on Joe Francis, as well as a lot of online writing, message boards, etc.

Where we left off, Joe Francis has just endured a kidnapping and extortion plot, which was solved by his alleged girlfriend, Paris Hilton.

And he is awaiting his RICO trial in Panama City, Florida,

but basically living the high life in L.A. until that happens. The height of this glory period for

him is in May of 2006, when he throws himself a 33rd birthday party at Magic Mountain, he rents out the entire theme park for a day.

5,000 friends and business associates show up for unlimited rides, free food, and drinks.

And this is despite all these horrible allegations that are like coming out about him, like left and fucking right.

Right.

So as with most things in Joe's life,

highs and lows are a constant. Joe was approached by an LA Times reporter, Claire Hoffman. She

wants to do a business profile on him and his company. And although he's reluctant because he

doesn't trust the media, he agrees and gives Claire a tour of their Santa Monica offices

and their warehouse. Now, Joe claims at some point, he realizes she wasn't listening to his

business spiel during this tour, but actually falling in love with him. Ew. Joe was worried because

she wasn't hot or smart. And when she told him that she was required to write her newspaper stories at a seventh grade reading level, he said, I remember thinking, how does she manage to write so far above her own capacity?

So what did she say about him?

Well, we're going to get into that.

He goes on to say, looking back, I realized I should have picked up clues to her
