You witnessed a fun marital dynamic just before when I challenged my wife about the fact that she'd taken a wedding ring off before she went out this morning.

Yeah, it was very telling.

So her going out this morning was pretty unplanned.

I took the dog for an unexpected walk.

She thought she'd be doing the dog walk.

And so she's found herself with an extra couple of hours to kill.

And if the affair she's having is so flexible that she's able to call somebody up at 20 minutes notice and saying,

oh, he took the dog out.
