Hi, I'm Aiton Weinstein, and I'm the Orm Meninger.

Being the startup nation doesn't necessarily mean that all the industries here are high-tech industries.

Israelis are innovative in many other fields, agriculture, public transportation, and even

insurance. But one of the hottest fields nowadays is without a doubt med tech, which basically

means innovation that has to do with the medical and pharmaceutical fields. But all those big

words were very far from Shmulikess's life just a few decades ago. Growing up as an orthodox Jew

in the religious and ancient city of Tsfat in Israel's north, his world consisted of Torah and

mitzvot, but gradually something within him led him down a completely different path, a direction which

won him an award a few weeks ago in China,

recognizing his company, Vailen, and its role in assisting in building the Chinese health system.

Schmulik is here with us today to talk about his amazing life and career.

So tell us a little bit about the award that you won last week in China. Okay, so the award that I

won was actually, I think, defined as one of the 10 people the 10 people in the

economy in Anhui province in China I know province just to make it make sense a little bit

it's about 70 million people small yeah small we're a stop bus a bus stop compared and um that was it it's a but was on live

television a broadcast live it was a very interesting and unique experience
