It's the 19th of August 1987, Hungerford, England. 27 year old Michael Robert Ryan goes on a shooting spree killing 16 people, one dog and

seriously injuring 15 others. Six hours later barricaded in a school classroom Ryan would commit suicide with a single

So the Hungerford Massacre.

It was what some would call a lone wolf shooting spree and would end up with the death toll of 16 people, one dog and the perpetrator.

15 others would be seriously injured.

Let's get to the perpetrator Michael Robert Ryan born 18th of May 1960 to a canteen

lady Dorothy and council Building Inspector Alfred Ryan.

They lived virtually his whole life at Four Southview Hungerford.

And Hungerford is a small town 107 kilometers or 67 miles west of London with a population of

around 5,000 people. Ryan was an only child and it was said that he was a

spoiled child, even described by a family friend Dennis Morley as a spoiled little wimp. He used to get everything he

wanted from his mother. He used to beat her up. She paid for his new cars every year. He used to hit his mother a lot, but couldn't pick on a man.
