0:36.0	I'm Annie Jones, owner of the bookshelf, an independent bookstore in beautiful downtown Thomasville, Georgia.
0:42.0	And this week, I'm recapping the books I read in August.
0:47.0	A couple of weekends ago, we hosted our final reader retreat of 2022. We were able to host two this year.
0:53.0	And it was everything we could have hoped for. We greeted readers and friends from all over the country and introduced them to our small town.
1:00.0	We talked about Emma Straub's this time tomorrow, and upcoming fall book titles, and how to make time for book clubs.

1:14.0	It was a joy-filled bookish weekend, and we cannot wait to do it again.
1:18.0	A lot of people have asked us when we're doing it again, and plans are in the works for three different retreats in 2023.
1:25.0	We would love, if you could join us, will announce dates in three different ways.
