I unfortunately, I'm not going to make your day better because this is a very tough case, a very heartbreaking case.

I want to say, I'm not 100% sure, but I want to say that maybe I added this to my list when there was a listener story that this case was mentioned in because it happened nearby. I could be wrong and could be totally off track there, but this was definitely suggested by somebody. And when I

looked up her name, I had to cover her. It is a very, very sad case, but it's an important one to share as they all are so okay i want to

give a trigger warning because we will be talking about child death we will also be talking about

sexual assault i won't go into like too many details about anything but that is kind of just an

idea of what we'll be discussing in this case.

So just like a blanket trigger warning.

I also want to say from the top of the episode that this young girl's family wants her to be

remembered as the bright little girl that she was, not what happened to her.

So obviously we will be talking about what happened to her and everything. And at the end, we'll talk about who she was, not what happened to her. So obviously we will be talking about what happened to her

say that at the top of the episode that she was so happy, so loving at just five years old.

And that's how she should be remembered. Okay.

So today we are going to be talking about the heartbreaking case of Evelyn Miller, who was just,

like I said, five years old when her life was so horrifically stolen from her.

Her case was actually cold for seven years before someone was finally charged with her murder in 2012,

but they basically knew who it was from the start.
