out February with some doomed lovers. You know, I liked romance. And today we're going to be

talking about, or I guess this is a little series about singer Michael Hutchins and presenter

Pauli Yates. So today we're going to be talking

about the early life and career of Michael Hutchins, who if you don't know, was the lead singer

of the band, Inexcess. My sources include the documentary Mystify and the book by Michael's

sister, Michael, my brother, Lost Boy of Inexcess. Is this a multi-parter? Yeah. Yes.

life and career of Paula. And then week three, we will talk about their tumultuous life together and the tragic end for both of them and all the other fallout. Okay. So it's three parts. It's not in excess. It's these two guys, Paula and Michael. It's a little different. Well, it is a little different. But we're talking to on Michael Hutchins. Yes. Yes. So does that make sense? The three parts? No, it does make sense. Okay. I'm just, I'm excited to hear this story. Oh, good. And I'm also, I mean, like, you were staring at me. I was like, uh-oh, she's not happy. No, no, no. I was I was doing the algebra lady in my head going, is this really happening right now?

Yeah, we've been talking about it for a while. I actually had all the books because I was going to do it a few years ago.

Yeah. And then I was like, uh, it got complicated. I'm ready to go. Okay, let's go. So Patricia Glasson was a former model, turned makeup artist and single mom to a young daughter named Tina when she met Kell Hutchance in the late 1950s.

They were married and she was soon pregnant with their first child, a son born on January 22nd, 1960 in Sydney, named Michael.

He was immediately the apple of everyone's eye, especially his older

sister, Tina, who was about 12 at the time of his birth. Mom Patricia relied a lot on her to help

care for Michael as Kel traveled a lot for business and was gone much of the time, and Patricia

still had ambitions in the beauty entertainment fields.

Baby Michael was described as happy, always laughing, and affectionate.

His mom described him as someone who loved being alive.

The house was full of music and his parents were very social, but it wasn't exactly the happiest of homes.

A large part of Kel's job was entertaining clients, so drinking heavily and partying was

technically required of him for his job, but he probably took it a little too far sometimes,
