I'm Patrick Bedevi, host of Ait Tim. And today I sit down with John A Light who was a former

hitman, yes a hitman, to the John Gotti crime family many many years ago and he talks about the dark side of mafia life.

John thanks for coming out.

Thank you for having me.

So you know one of the questions before we get into everything that we got, how did you even get

into having a relationship with John Gotti Jr.

How did that connection take place with the two of you? I grew up back in Woodhaven, Queens, Jamaica Avenue, and I grew up around the mob.

So before Gotti, Junior's father took over the mob in I area as the boss.

Andy, Fat Andy Ruggiano was the boss, who I was close with the family, with the sons,

they played baseball with him.

I used to box at the same gym.

And he was the Captain Gabbyo family that ran our area. When he went to

prison, senior took over and stepped in his shoes and that's who you start

reporting to is whoever takes over that position.

So the introduction was made through what was a local community, did you kind of meet them?

Were you guys friends at what age did you meet John Gotti Jr.
