When we last left the three daughters of Azai Nagamasa and Lady Oichi, they had each entered into

the households as some of the most powerful men in Japan.

The eldest, Yodo-Dono, had become one of Toyotomi Hideyoshi's thirteen concubines and

the only woman to bear him a child, Toyotomi Tsurumatsu, though the sickly boy would die within
