you girls, Sydney. Happy Wednesday. I'm filming this on Tuesday. I'm trying to get as close to like the day of as possible because like I obviously do all my shoutouts and whatnot. And then I

feel like I get new contributors like the next day. And I want to like shout you guys out as soon as

possible. So I'm holding off as long

as I can. So it is Tuesday here for me. It's quite the gloomy day. I actually plan, uh, there's a 1215

showing of trap at my local theater that I'm going to go see. It's almost like 1130 right now.

So I'm actually kind of just filming like the start of this and then I'm not going to get back into it later. And I'll give you guys an update as to how it is. I'm hearing a lot of people say that this is

like the worst movie of the year, which I mean, could it possibly be that bad? Could it be that

bad? Like, I don't know. So I'm a little nervous to find out. I'm going to go pay for it.

I'm specifically actually doing it on a fucking Tuesday because that's when my theater has like their matinee. So at least if it's really that bad, I won't feel as bad about spending money on it, you know? I've been watching a lot of like 2024 movies obviously to keep up with like recent releases. But this week I've also spent a lot of time watching some of like the old classics because I don't know if you guys have seen like on my TikTok, but I have this poster that's like a hundred horror movie scratch off chart. And I've had this thing for literally like three years. It was actually the first TikTok I ever made when I started back in like 2021. And I still haven't scratched off all these movies. And I kind of look at it every day, like, angry at myself. And I finally decided that this year is going to be the year. So I've been watching a lot of like old silent movies. Like I'm going through the ones I haven't seen, which mostly are the ones from early on. So I've been having a fucking blast doing that, to be honest. Like we sleep on like old films,

like especially like the old silent films. Like this week I watched Phantom Carriage and Phantom

of the Opera, which I had seen here and there, but not enough to fully remember it. So I

rewatched it. And holy shit, guys, like that shit's incredible. The acting and like just the design of the characters even the

effects for being in the 20s is rather impressive especially phantom carriage like holy shit and

you actually see how many movies were inspired by that specific movie like i'm looking at you

the shining like stan Stanley Kubrick literally

shot for shot took a scene from the Phantom Carriage. And it's so evident. A little bit more up to

date, though, this last like week, week and a half, whatever, I watched a quiet place day one,

which I enjoyed. I'm going to be putting up a full review of that sometime this week. It might

actually be up by the time you guys are hearing this. I liked it. If Lupita Nyango and Joseph Quinn weren't in it, what I like it is much, honestly, I don't know. Because personally, I just feel like it doesn't really give us anything new. Like it didn't give any new story. Like it was kind of just like the same thing that we've seen the last two movies. Like we ain't get any like lore or background on the creatures. Again, Lupita, fucking impeccable.

My absolute queen. I love her. But the movie itself, no new material. One movie I did watch this
