Welcome to Otherworld, I'm your host Jack Wagner.

This episode is the first in a series that you're going to be hearing in the coming weeks,

all telling the story of a woman named Eilish.

I started this show pretty recently, based on a hunch that there are tons of average

people out there who have experienced something paranormal, but they never end up talking

about it to anyone because most of the time when these stories are told they're sensationalized

or treated like fiction.

I think for most people who witness something that they can't explain, it's easier to

just explain it away, forget about it, and move on with their life.

It's human nature to do that.

And for that reason, I believe that sometimes in the biggest non-paranormal stories that

do get told, there are occasionally some supernatural aspects that end up getting

left out, because it's just easier that way, to leave out the parts that are harder

to understand, but that does not mean that they didn't happen.

My hope with Otherworld was always that if we created a home for these types of stories

and told them in the way they deserved, people would come out of the woodwork with things

that they've been keeping to themselves for many years.

And I think my hunch has been right so far.

On November 7th, last year, I received an email with a subject line, I survived a murder

attempt, now I see ghosts.

And I wish I could read the entire email to you so you could understand how shocked I

was reading this story, but I really, really don't want to spoil anything.
