Where we left off, Mickey has been dumped by Ava Gardner and her California raisin nipples.

And despite Eddie Manix's efforts to bring them back together, Ava is done.

So Mickey throws himself into his work. Next up is a movie called Girl Crazy. It is co-starring his old pal Judy Garland. Now, Judy has also gotten married at this point

to a man named David Rose. It's not a good marriage. And she is going through it. She collapses several times while filming

Girl Crazy, and Mickey and his memoir contradicts the widely believed fact that MGM is the one

supplying her with drugs that will lead to her addiction and eventually a fatal overdose. He says

that it was all Judy. He's very victim-blamy. He says at that point,

she's old enough to make her own decisions. She can't blame the studio or her mom anymore,
