On this episode of Newt's World I was really intrigued recently when I came across the February

7th report released by the Heritage Foundation entitled combating big text to totalitarianism

a roadmap. The report makes three key points. First, the growing symbiosis between big tech

and government gives these companies undue influence over America's daily lives and undermines

our rights. Second, big tech has increasingly exercised pervasive control of information

and access to the digital space in ways that undermine freedom and a functioning republic.

Third, it is time for aggressive reforms to ensure that big tech is held accountable,

provides scrutiny and oversight and constrain its ability to reshape society.

Like many of you, I've seen what big tech has done in the last two years to silence voices

they don't agree with. From President Trump being primarily banned from Twitter on January

8th, 2021, to the latest efforts by Spotify employees to censor podcaster Joe Rogan for his content.

Big tech is more like a big government overlord deciding what information you were allowed to see.
