All right, how's your Lent?

It's going along pretty well, Father John.

I think if you remember, I said, I was eager to dive into Lent.

What I'm experiencing, I think, are two things.

It's definitely feeling penitential.

But what I'm experiencing from the Lord is a gentle call.

Like I'm hearing his voice, it's gentle.

And so I'm having to make some shifts in my mind and my heart.

So prayer has been rich.

But is always the case.

We're walking to Lent with a set of expectations,

and oftentimes what God has on his plan for my life is very different.

But I'm hearing what I need, and I love that, hopefully follow me.

How about you?

What a grace.

Yeah, I often say to people, I don't know why I bother to plan for Lent,

because inevitably either God a day or two before Lent or a day or two into the season of Lent, he just kind of turns the tables over and says, this is what we're going to talk about.

And I'm like, oh, and he did that again this year.
