some weekend plans, amazing stuff going around the league. Some new guys do some shit,

some old guys are still doing some shit. You guys might have heard this before. Bob Nightingale

screwed something up too in a whole area of story. We got plenty of stuff to talk about.

It's a great day for a starting nine as we get into the final stretches of 2022 MLB season.

Let's have a great show. Action! Welcome back to starting nine. Carl, here I got snake and

taxes. How you doing? Yeah, man. I'm good. I got a new mic stand. I'm really excited about.

It's kind of like Christmas morning. I'll scramble in a little bit to get it set up.

But when I was in Chicago, we were doing the show together. You know, I saw the mic stands that you

guys had in the studio. I'm like, this is gorgeous. So I picked one up from Gator Frameworks.

And it's got this like five pound base. It's got a nice little ergonomic grip on it.

I mean, it's just, it's, it's pretty cool. I guess I probably would have never

enjoyed something like this until now doing a podcast. But it's the little things that you get

excited about. I guess especially as you get older, you know. So and we had a nice trip. We had a

great trip. It's a shame we can't, we can't do it more often. We're going to do it as much as we

can though. We are. That was my big takeaway. Damn, we got to do more shows in person together.

Because a lot of people that I got from people who listened to our last episode was like,

do those. That's just, that's just great baseball guy stuff sitting around, hanging around a table,

just telling stories. And, and good to just get one out one bro time because I feel like when

every time we get together and do stuff, that there's always like, you know, a lot going on.
