Summary

The trials of Blackthorn are behind them, but even more danger waits up ahead. How will our heroes handle the perils of the forest, the swamp and the castle? What puzzles lie ahead? What grotesque monsters must be slain? Only time and the d20 will tell us. The Wolf, the Witch and the Vampire is the penultimate episode of our first campaign and its a doozy! Adventure! Here a sword pull from its sheep and a flaming sword comes into view, and young Henrique

He puts his hand up with the glowing blue ring, and he says, stop.

you all may pass. So, after you take these items, the four of you walk up, and you're now at the gate.

You place the orb in the gate, and it unlocks one giant bar.

A outline of a door appears and you can see a path leading into the Blackthorn forest.

The woods of Blackthorn are old.

The trees reach high into the air and their trunks are wide, worn but strong, like warriors who have become hardened in battle. There is one path through the forest, and something tells all of you that you shouldn't venture off of it. As you left the gate to the village and headed towards the dark of the wood, you told Henrique of your journey of what you were trying to do, and he has agreed to help you along the way, the best he best he can. You of course conveniently left out the part about him being the very villain you were

trying to destroy. But hey, no one's perfect. After you've walked a while, you enter a clearing.

It is large enough for all of you to stand side by side three times over. At the far end, nestled

trees, appears to be a turned over tree covered in black moss. That's what it appears to be,

but as you inch closer, you can see that it is subtly moving, as if it's breathing. And at that

same moment you realize it's not an overturned tree, but a snout. You see two giant eyes appear directly behind it.

They are vicious, intelligent eyes that focus directly on the four of you.
