| 0:47.0 | What's actually, so tell me, run me through your military career and then how you got into medicine after. |
| 0:53.0 | Sure, so I had a little bit of a backwards way. |
| 0:56.0 | So, typically, most people would go into the military and then eventually go into medicine. I kind of did it backwards. I did medicine first and then military. |
| 1:05.0 | So, but in retrospect, the military, Uncle Sam, did pay for medical schools. It wasn't the reason why I did that, but it certainly helped with, you know, with the loan stuff. |
| 1:15.0 | So you got, you went to, where did you go to pre-med? |
| 1:20.0 | So, I did undergrad in Boston, a small school called Brandeis outside of Boston, and then I went back to New York City for medical school and spent four years there, and St. Louis for eight years for residency. |
| 1:35.0 | And then back to New York for one year in fellowship, which I specialize in craniofacial reconstruction, with the intent of doing that, you know, for the military and then down the San Antonio. |
| 1:48.0 | And my time spent in the military was at Walter Reed doing craniofacial reconstruction. |
| 1:54.0 | So, you were in DC the whole time, you were in, well, like six years, how long was it? |
| 1:57.0 | No, I've been a reservist the whole time, so just, you know, doing my time each year, and then occasionally I would go up there for extended time to help out. |

| 2:09.0 | I have four more months in IRR and I'm done. |
| 2:14.0 | So, how does that work for a physician in IRR? |
| 2:18.0 | I mean, it seems like you're more likely to get called up than an infantry guy. |
| 2:22.0 | It just depends on the situation. |
| 2:24.0 | So, I just went IRR a couple months ago. |
| 2:28.0 | You know, I got deployed, if you would call a deployment, I got deployed to New York City or in the COVID when, on the comfort, when the whole thing, when COVID first started. |
| 2:36.0 | So, you, were you out on a boat or some shit? |
