Last time, we talked about the history of the Spanish treasure fleets. In particular, we talked about

the galleon and the system that was put in place to guard the treasure ships. It was a system

that was almost foolproof, but not quite.

In 1628, the treasure fleet gathered at Havana, as they always did when they were preparing
