And I'm Elise Hugh, and we are just two friends who like to talk a lot about serums. And today we have

Rachel Goodwin back on the show. So we'll be talking about makeup and a lot of your makeup questions

and a little bit on her summer because she has had the most glamorous summer. She did have a very

glam summer and you all sent in a lot of great questions. But before we get to that,

Elise, how are you? I'm good. I went on a little friend date last night with our friend, Sam Sanders,

because I was supposed to be celebrating my friend Lindsay on a new job that might require that she have to move across

the country and return to New York. We hope not. But I had wanted to take her out for like a fancy

meal. So I booked her a dinner. I reserved, I made a dinner reservation for a steakhouse, which I never do.

Like, it's very common in Texas to be like, let's go meet up at Bob's Land and Cattle or

whatever, Bob's Chop House.

But in L.A., I almost never go to a steakhouse.

I like just, it's a big splurge, you know.

And as we've talked about in other episodes, it's also

awful for the environment. And so I like made this special reservation for her. And then yesterday

morning, she was like, I'm really sorry, but I've been so stressed out by the negotiations.

And I'm just kind of fried. Can we rain check? And I was like,

yes, of course, but I got this great reservation. Who would go and eat steaks with

you? And so I took a fan. And you knew not me. No, not you. And also I was like, my fellow Texan, my fellow Texan, Sam Sanders.

So I texted and not my partner.

I also was not like, oh, Rob, do you want to do a date night?

Because no, he wouldn't appreciate this.
