Summary

In this episode of Oh My Heath ... There's HOPE! Jana talks with Tessa Hollyn Taub.

Heath and wellness is not a one-size-fits-all experience. You have one body, and I will give you my full care and attention as I help you train it. How you feed your body is of equal importance. But first, and foremost, your mindset is everything.

As a competitive athlete, being part of a team has shaped who Tessa is today. She loves every aspect of working together and being held accountable to perform, achieve, and succeed. She has been honored to motivate and empower thousands of individuals and groups to reach goals they never thought possible, using an approach stemming from her own personal growth and development throughout her athletic and professional career.

Over the last 14 years, she has sought out pivotal knowledge to create a coaching formula to guide clients of all ages and abilities to see the bigger picture, carve out time for themselves, and develop strategies that work for them. She takes a holistic approach to fitness based on her background in integrative nutrition, yoga, pilates, functional movement, and corrective exercise (pre and post-natal).

Whether you run, play with your kids, hike, walk, spin, lift, swim; my goal is to help you fall in love with movement so you maintain the strength both physically and mentally to continue doing what you love to do.

All of my programs are tailored specifically to the individual. I combine unique exercise, nutrition, and health coaching strategies to help you create a program that meets YOUR needs and goals.

I work with clients online and in person.

She was also honored in Newport as “Best of” in the Mercury Love Awards and nominated as 2016 Entrepreneurial Women to Watch in Rhode Island.

“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, to be whomever you want to be. There’s no time limit, start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.”

I think, you know, definitely the 90s, the diet phase of Diet Coke and all the horrible foods that make your head hurt and make you feel really depleted.

3:30.9

But I've also had two babies since then and struggled with postpartum depression anxiety. So I think a lot of women can feel alone in that and it's not as much of a talked about topic, but I think.

3:44.9

Kind of being able to overcome a lot of the food and exercise stuff was actually really helpful when coming into my postpartum journey because I think I would have been and I joke with one of my friends who's actually a really.

3:57.9

I think it's amazing dietitian about how crazy it would have been if we had kids in the time when we were doing such crazy things with food and exercise and how miserable we would have been.
