Episode 366, welcome to the middle of your podcast.

My name is Clint Wells. I'm your host. I'll talk about Metallica every week. Professional musician living in Nashville. Merry Christmas, everybody. I was going to put out this episode as just a Metal Tales. And then I've got a very interesting guest for the next episode. Dino Moradian, who does all the pyrography for James's guitars. That episode's

already in the can, but I realize that Monday is Christmas, so I'm not going to be dropping

an episode on Christmas. We'll take a week off, let everyone enjoy spending time with their families

or doing whatever you do on Christmas. I know there's some people out there that do different

things, and then we'll be back that next week. This is me talking with Tom or Altheson about the Saudi Arabia gig.

And it's an interesting conversation, you know, like we talked actually quite a bit off

air about just that part of the world and sort of the Western view of it.

And there's some surprising, surprising things that I learned about him about Saudi Arabia and

about you know Metallica and the culture over there and the music and um I'm excited for you

guys to hear that conversation now another thing that happened that made me want to turn this

to a proper episode is that Torben Ulrich passed away which I know is like strangely

sad for all of us in the Metallica family

because he feels like such an interesting and fun and important part of the story.

And we all know that delete that scene from some kind of monster.
