Asaammar al-Likum. Last week I had experienced some pretty grueling asthma attacks. I was born,

not born, I had asthma as a kid, but for about the last 10 to 15 years I haven't actually felt the effects of asthma.

Although I was kind of sometimes in and out of hospital as a kid with it, I kind of thought I was cured.

And it's relevant for this episode if you hang on with me for a second. What ended up happening is about 10 days ago I had an asthma attack. I recognized it pretty much straight away because I remember the feeling as a kid. It kind of feels like you're breathing through a straw and you're really struggling to get breath.

Stupidly I didn't do anything about it, but then I did have another asthma attack a few days later and then I had a third.

So about three in the space of like a week.

When I had my second, Kaya, I may Allah bless him, who you guys know is my co-hosthost here took me to the hospital and they put me on

nebulizers and medicines and ECG and I had a chest x-ray just before and basically I was on like two or three different I was basically taking nebulizer every two hours

I was on loads of different medications but things didn't really seem to be getting better and at that point I started looking for someone who

specializes in asthma which I later found out to be pulmonology which is kind

of the study the medicine specific to kind of breathing and lungs and all that kind of stuff.

And I came across this expert out here called Dr Falsy Katranji.

And so I thought I'm going to book a station with this guy, a book to consultation with him and honestly it was the biggest relief.

I finally felt like I was speaking to someone who understood my problem.

What I was going through, he gave me a more advanced inhaler and some

tablets to take and it just felt like I was speaking, he ran tests on me, but it felt like
