started. Corinne was born in St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands in August of 1978 to an 18-year-old native of the island and a 26-year-old guy from Long Island who eventually goes back to the mainland when Corin is just six years old.

Her mom then moves back in with Corinne's grandmother who's living in a four-room, one bath house with five other relatives and eventually two more sisters.
