Summary

Thank you for joining us for another episode of the Low Carb MD Podcast. Dr. Suneel Dhand is a Physician specializing in Internal Medicine and Metabolic Health. He was born in London, grew up in Berkshire, England, went to medical school at Cardiff University, and then moved across the pond, completing his internal medicine residency in Baltimore, Maryland. He currently lives in Boston, and practices as a hospital medicine physician. Dr. Suneel’s clinical interests include frontline healthcare quality improvement, improving hospital processes, enhancing patient experience, and healthcare information technology development and integration. He has authored numerous articles in clinical medicine that have been published in leading medical journals, covering a wide range of specialty areas. His other main area of interest is preventive medicine and wellness, and he is the author of two well-being books; High Percentage Wellness Steps, and the historical fiction book, Thomas Jefferson: Lessons from a Secret Buddha.

In this episode, Drs. Brian, Tro, and Suneel talk about…

  • Systemic issues in the Western medical system—ridiculously high medical school debt, insufficient critical thinking skills taught in medical schools, and corrupt agencies and physician societies
  • How corruption resulting from conflicts of interest has resulted in bias, unscientific dietary recommendations
  • How laziness, corruption, and lack of critical thinking led to the proliferation/endorsment of COVID vaccines that are not very effective and not necessarily safe for everyone
  • The illogical governmental responses of various countries throughout the world to the threat of COVID
  • Why the American news media is a sinister organization
  • Greed and disempowerment
  • Why the three of them decided to pursue a career in medicine
