Hi, welcome to coming out with Lauren and Nicole. We are a weekly podcast and we bring on queer folks from all walks of life. They tell us the tales of how they came out to friends, family, and the world at large. Because who doesn't love a coming out story? Today, we are sitting here with Tommy Hobson, or is it like Thomas for your, how do we... It's Tommy. It's Tommy. It's Thomas on all the credits. I didn't want to be too informal. But people call me Tommy. Well, like, Thomas is your name, which

is true. So, like, if it's up on a screen, it says Thomas, but everyone ends up calling me Tommy.

So there's always this great moment when I wrap a project and then I get a call from, like,

the director that's like, hey, are you Thomas or Tommy in the credits? And I was like, yeah,

Tommy. So we will talk about Tommy's credits in a moment.

But first, so I know Tommy from, now if you've been listening to our podcast, I feel like we've had like half of the cast of lesbian love octagon on.

And then from my life, we've had like almost all the company members from 30 minute musicals.

So Tommy, for those of you who listen, I met Tommy around the same time that I met Ali and Clayton, who have both been on the podcast.

I didn't, I initially first saw you in a show, though. I saw him in the 30 minute musical of Independence Day Day, where he played Will Smith and did the most, like, just spitting image, voice, like, characters. It was just dead on Will Smith. But, yeah, we met through 30-minute musicals. You guys, some of you may know Tommy from Fresh Beat Bay. Tommy, this is very exciting. If you live in L.A., you know about the Ovation Awards.

If you don't, the ovations are the Los Angeles Tonys, essentially.

They are like the prestigious theater awards for L.A.

And Tommy just won Best Lead Actor in a Musical for Ain't Misbehaving.

So he is an actor.

He is a singer.

He does some dance.
