So without further ado, let's listen to Episode 36. Philip Willis is an interesting character in this play. He was a retired major in the Air Force and a man that had served and become disabled during World War II. He was now at the time of the assassination on disability. He'd been active in

politics for a long time and actually was a state legislator in Texas during the late 1940s.

A pretty interesting time to be in Texas politics. President Johnson has a few stories of his own from that time.

At the time of the assassination, Willis was an independent real estate broker.
