thursday november 28th i thought we do a little something special today since uh we're going to be

out of the office enjoying the holiday with our families we'll be showing you some great interviews

i want to show you a video from my personal

collection this i filmed 20 long years ago it was 2004 in colorado and i was filming my grandfather

the late great william smith aka wild bill cook a turkey and i thought you'd enjoy his

instruction as he deep fries a turkey, which is

increasingly common. So be careful, you know, make sure that you're following all the

instructions on your deep fryer, but here is Wild Bill, my grandfather, cooking a turkey 20 long years

ago. Why don't you explain what you're going to do here, Grandpa?

Well, this is the first time we've ever done it, but we have here purchased a burner

assembly, the pot for the turkey.

We purchased three gallons of peanut oil and three gallons of mixed oil.
