I was really self-conscious about singing.

Growing up, I did have a speech impediment, so like I've always been self-conscious about singing. Growing up, I did have a speech impediment,

so like, I've always been self-conscious about my voice.

I had a little incident where the teacher was like,

read in front of the class.

And I couldn't say, like I could not say the word.

When you're like six or seven,

you don't really know anything it's different about your peers,

until somebody points it out.

And that teacher pointed it out in front of the whole class,

and that's kind of when the bullying started.

How did you kind of like get past that?

I don't know if I have.

Like any time I hear my voice still,

I kind of like think back to that moment.

I let a little thing like not being able to pronounce an R.

Get in my way for so many years.

So that kind of spiraled me into being a socially awkward person,

which led me to being a lovable weirdo.
