Hard to believe we are reaching the end of the liturgical year, although it did feel like Christmas

in Michigan the last couple of days, didn't it?

Holy cow.

Yeah, we've got snow on the ground with a little layer of ice on top of that. And it's actually

quite beautiful, Father John, because it's against the backdrop of still some beautiful, rich

colors here in the fall. They aren't going to last for long. Thank you, Mr. Positive.

That's me. I'm Eeyore. So. I thought it was beautiful looking out in the backyard.

But Daniel says, snow and rain, bless the Lord. And so I try to let the Word of God reshape my warped way of thinking oftentimes. That's right. There's beauty in all seasons.

There is beauty in all seasons, absolutely. And this is a tremendous season that we're about to enter.

The season of Advent is going to come the following week. And this coming a tremendous season that we're about to enter. The season of

Advent is going to come the following week. And this coming week is a spectacular solemnity

that we're going to break open a little bit. So what's our topic this week? Our topic this week is

Stand before Jesus today. Today. I like this. Let's pray.

All gracious, Father, your word to us this week is rich and perhaps a bit frightening for some of us.

For you are God and we are creatures.
