obedience doesn't always look like we think it's going to look. I didn't know what it would feel like

to leave behind my whole life, my whole family, my home, my everything I had built. And everyone

would say like, oh, the Lord is going to bless you for that. For that faithfulness, for that obedience,

the Lord is going to bless you. Sometimes in our culture, we think blessings are like, we think of the prosperity gospel,

maybe, we think like, God's going to open doors for you, you're going to make a lot of money,

you're going to be all the things.

And actually what I'm learning in this season is like, blessed are the poor and spirit.

The act of obedience comes grieving and comes hard,

hard times. But our desire is that above all is that we would be people of God that just

like follow God, that follow his voice, that know his voice and can go where he leads us.
