Summary

John Paul Rice is a filmmaker who started his career in Georgia working on Jerry Bruckheimer's Remember the Titans (2000) starring Denzel Washington and We Were Soldiers (2002), starring Mel Gibson.

In 2001, John landed a position at the Los Angeles film finance, sales and production company Senator International, a US division of Senator Films [DE] (which later became Mandate Pictures) led by industry veteran Joseph Drake (The Hunger Games, Juno, The Grudge, Harold and Kumar...). Under Joe's leadership, John developed an interest in producing independent feature films.

In 2008, John Paul Rice formed No Restrictions Entertainment with filmmaker Edgar Michael Bravo. No Restrictions creates authentic feature films, miniseries and documentaries while incorporating & humanizing issues rarely addressed in Hollywood movies. No Restrictions has produced these critically acclaimed films, One Hour Fantasy Girl (2009), The Magic Stone (2016), Memories of a Lost Love (2011), Mark's Secret to Eternal Life (2013) and A Nice Quiet Life (2018). The team recently released their 6th project in 10 years with A Child's Voice (2018), a supernatural thriller about a runaway teen who answers a child calling out for help and is sent on a journey to find a human trafficking network run by the child's killer. All six films tell bold, authentic, real-life stories of survival in the face of uncertainty with a hope and love for a better world. The team is now in preparation for their 7th feature with Game Day (2022).

Avaughan What's up? Another episode of Ripple Effect podcast. I'm your host, Riccadrenz. It's also known as Ricky Vrandis. Did I mess that up? I might have messed that up. I feel like I'm getting worse at that. But another great episode for you today. I'm bringing some energy in this intro. I feel like the last couple of intros. I've been kind of low energy. As you guys know, being an adult kind of sucks. There's a lot of responsibilities, a lot of things you

1:31.5

have to do. You have to constantly find energy and time for your significant other, for your kids,

1:38.0

for your hobbies, for your exercise, for your job. So sometimes you're burned out a little bit.

1:44.0

And I don't know if I was

some vitamins, some exercise, some meditation has all helped and I feel sharp again and I feel at peace,

which is so important with these shows. It's so easy to hurry up, squeeze these shows in

while also living a somewhat very busy life.

And I say somewhat just because we all live busy lives.

2:35.3

We all have excuses we can make.

2:37.5

So I try not to make those and try to just find time to do everything that I want to do
