It seems the left and liberals alike have been largely silent on what they affirmatively believe should be done to address the immigration backlog at the border. We are able to say what we don't like about Biden's or the Republicans' policy. But what should actually be done instead? We are often accused of wanting open borders. What if we owned it? Is it possible to both prioritize the interests of American workers and have a humane border policy? Are we falling into the trap of believing a tradeoff is necessary?
