Today I have a really fun episode with my friend Jess Hoffheimer.

Jess just ran a PR, a two minute personal record at the California International Marathon.

She has been on a journey, a very long journey.

This PR was eight years in the making.

She ran a 3-11 in Boston eight years ago.

There's a lot of layers to Jess's story, but the one thing that rings true in this episode to me

and just through knowing Jess and getting to talk with her on runs is that there's a lot of beauty in the long game.

There's a lot of beauty in having patience and believing in the process.

And Jess is going to talk to you about her process.

She's going to talk to you about what it's like working with her coach David Roach.

And we also talk about her experience with desordered eating and how that has played a role in her life

over the years and how seeing a therapist has really changed her life.

So I think that you guys will all take a lot from this episode.

I know I did and I'm just, I'm honored to be friends with Jess and I,

I feel so lucky that I get to live near her now and go on runs with her.
