Before we start the podcast, we just want to say that while we were recording this, we received alarming and unpleasant news from Strasbourg that there had been a shooting at the Christmas market there, and at least one and possibly two people have been killed.

And we just wanted to say that we're thinking of everybody in Strasbourg

who are there in session and I understand it under lockdown at the moment
