He was told that if he took another drink, he would die.

And he stopped. But my twin brother told me that he was an alcoholic,

and he knew it. Good, I said, then you can stop. No, he said, just because you know you're an alcoholic

does not mean that you can stop.

Why did I depress you?

Because I wanted you to know that when presented with the facts,

we sometimes still choose the same path, knowing that it will not lead to anything good.
