Let's start with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diagnosis, and management from doctors Gentry and Gentry out of Virginia.

There are several organizations that produce guidelines for COPD.

The AAFP has endorsed the American College of Physician's COPD Guidelines.

The oft-used gold guideline, or a global initiative for chronic obstructive lung disease,

interestingly, is pharmaceutical industry funded.

No organization recommends screening for COPD in patients at increased risk who do not have respiratory symptoms, including

the USPSTF. It's a D recommendation.
