Hey Science Mike, what is the science behind ADHD or ADD?

I have often heard and read that it is over-diagnosed and that it's not even a real disorder,

but just the result of kids, especially Americans, spending too much time in front of screens. I was diagnosed with mild ADHD when I was 18

and can tell that I have a harder time with some things than most others I know. I also spent

very little time in front of the TV and computer as a kid.
