Today we welcome to the show, the CEO of the Premier Lacrosse League, Mr. Mike

Rable.

Now, before I share about Mike, let me bring you up to speed on the Premier

lacrosse league in case you're not familiar.

Often referred to as the PLL, the PLL is the most impressive upstart sports league in the country.

Mike, along with his brother Paul Rabel, whose name may sound familiar as he's arguably the

world's most famous lacrosse player and multi-time hardwood hustle guest. Well, they began their

pursuit a few years ago to bring professional lacrosse to the

prime time and trailblazed the future of the fastest growing sport in the country.

In unprecedented fashion, the PLL was able to raise millions of dollars, sign a broadcast

partnership deal with NBC, able to gather over 150 of

the world's best lacrosse players, pay them full-time salaries, provide them health benefits,

and give each player equity in the league.

Unprecedented.

And last year, their inaugural season consisted of six teams starting week one at

Gillette Stadium, traveling all across the country in a tour-based model while finishing their

championship game this past September in Philly. The success of the league allowed the PLL to add

a seventh team going into year two.

And in light of the coronavirus, they're the first professional team league to roll out a unique plan for action that will be taking place this July in a three-week, fully quarantined championship style, very similar to a World Cup-esque feel, lacrosse tournament that's

going to be aired on NBC, and it is going to be legendary.
