Judith Ann Brown was a 19-year-old from New York City, New York.

She was a friendly popular girl who was a psych major.

In mid-April, 1977,

Judy seemingly took off with a man she met

while they were in a mental health facility together.

She was never seen again.

But he might have been.

I'm at Denzel, and this is unfound. I've been talking for a while about a particular type of disappearance that unfound has not yet covered.

And I think the reason I've mentioned it so often is because I've been really, really ready to cover one.

What is it?

Somebody who is really bad who is on the run from the law.

To be sure, I'm not talking about Judith, but more on that in a moment.

Sure, we've discussed some people who were evading the law when they disappeared.

Some of those disappearances are Brennan Smoky, Crystal Bailey,

and very recently Matthew Braswell, and a bunch of others who had they been found,

they would have gone straight to jail. Sure, they were felons, but I'm not so sure how scary

any of them were.

Whereas the kind of disappearance I've been longing to cover would be one of a hardcore

criminal who did something really, really horrible.

Well, with the disappearance of Judy Brown, she is not that person.

In fact, Judy was the exact opposite.
