Hey, everybody. Welcome to You're Born for this podcast with Father John Ricardo and Mary Guilfoil.

We're a couple of missionaries at Acts 29.

This is the podcast where we talk about how acquiring a biblical worldview brings us great hope

and the God who created and rescued this world in order that you and I can be agents of transformation and recreation.

Mary, that's a much more subdued intro than is normal in our podcast,

and it's not because I'm not feeling very well.

It's because our country's not feeling very well and we're not feeling very well right now are we

yeah i think we come to this conversation this morning with uh with just a real sense of um

brokenheartedness and um and sorrow and mourning and grief in light of everything that we've been

walking through the last set of days.

Yeah. And, you know, we say in that intro that we are eager in this podcast to communicate a biblical

worldview and talk about how essential it is to acquire it so that we can live with great hope. And that's not just a line.

That's a reality. And perhaps nowhere does that get tested like in moments like this.

So how about we pray? And then I'll invite you to tea up. But what's our title for this podcast?

How long, oh Lord. How long, oh Lord? Indeed. Let's pray in the name of the

Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Oh, good and gracious Father, who out of your

extraordinary love not only fashioned us in your image and likeness, but when we had fallen prey to the seduction and the lies of the enemy

since your only begotten son so as to reveal to us the depth of the love that you have for us,

to make atonement for us, and to go to battle against that one who is the strong man who had enslaved our race

and defeated him by that cross and glorious resurrection of Jesus.

And one day we'll destroy him.

We come to you right now on behalf of all those who are listening, who are hurting, and all those who are hurting,
