Summary

My friend Anthony Sweat, artist and associate professor of Church history and doctrine at BYU, joins us to talk about his new book “Repicturing the Restoration”. This wonderful book is twenty-five paintings that portray previously unpictured Restoration scenes, coupled with historical and artistic explanations. It includes The First Visions, Jane Neyman and the First Baptism for the Dead, The Chamber of Father Whitmer, Joseph and William Fight and Forgive, and (my favorite) The Ordination of Q. Walker Lewis. If you’d like to increase your faith of and testimony in the Restoration, please read this book and share it with others. It is available at deseretbook.com/p/rsc-repicturing-the-restoration-new-art-to-expand-our-understanding?variant_id=188197-hardcover or www.amazon.com/Repicturing-Restoration-New-Expand-Understanding/dp/1944394982 You can follow Brother Sweat on IG @brotheranthonysweat and check out his work at anthonysweat.com/. Thank you for being on the podcast Brother Sweat and your unique life ministry to help others unto Christ though our restored Church.
