And I think we'd be better off if I keep it on law and national security.

Because if I have to talk about the Mets today,

I'm going to have to tear most of my remaining hairs out.

Although I think this could be, the Mets could think that this is one of

Rich Lowry's new innovations for baseball, that, you know, perhaps the object of the game is to

commit the most errors. We had six errors from the Mets last night. I think it was all in the infield,

the most errors that they'd committed in a game for 14 years. So that's the way our summer

is going. But I think I'd rather talk about the Mets some days than I would talk about Iran,

because that's a real mess, and that's what we're going to talk about today. Obviously,

our fearless leader, Rich, is not with us today. He's on some super secret assignment.

But I'm here, and Sarah's here so I'm able to to press on and hopefully

the solo won't have you all throwing stuff at whatever it is that you're listening to me by.

I'm kind of ready to throw stuff at myself though, watching what's happening in the Middle East.

There's such a disconnect between the way that the Iran deal is being discussed,

particularly by the administration in Washington, and what the reality of it is.

And it's very disturbing to have administration officials come out and make bold pronouncements about what's happening

and then be feeling like you're in a position where you can't take that at face value,

where you have to always double check it. And I'm afraid that that's

just the way it is. It's where we're at. And what the president seems to be hyper-focused on

is oil prices. And that seems to be oil prices going hand in hand with the stock market in the sense that as they go down and as people get more confidence that there's a settlement in place that will allow some predictable resumption of transit through the

Strait of Hormuz.
