Hello, everyone, coming to you live from the Cannes Film Festival.

It is currently May 21st, 9.40 p.m. here in France, 3.40 p.m. on the East Coast and 12.40

p.m. on the West Coast. I say all of this because Emma Sassick here,

who's joining me, is from the West Coast.

Bonjour. I'm originally from the East Coast, and we are doing our best here to get you

all an update from the Cannes Film Festival. A few days in now at this point, we've almost

come up on the one-week point. The festival started last Tuesday. It is currently Sunday right now. And we will have another show for you, of course, next Sunday upon my return back to the States. And yeah, Emma, I'm really excited to dig into what our experience has been like in some of these movies. Me too. I know that

we've been talking about stuff after every single screening, but it's nice to share it more

openly with other people too. So the first thing I do want to get into here, this is going to be a very

untraditional show. I'm going to, of course, try my best to hit on certain points and things that we normally do talk about here, but we're not going to take questions from the fans. I do apologize for that. I think that'll be more well suited for when we get to next week's episode and the festival is over. We've got the award winners.
