I'm one of the co-founders here at ETR and we are coming off of a Bryson Hopkins.

Yes, for those of you who played showdown for the first time in the Super Bowl, you got a good taste of what showdown is all about.

Tyler Higby, of course, was out, starting to tell him for the rams.

Kendall Blanton, his backup, was expected to play the Tyler Higby role.

Okay, all right.

But what if they run a Red Zone play for Bryson Hopkins, who, you know, is a reasonable pass catcher?

Or what if what if Kendall Blanton gets hurt, which is what happened, you know, he banked up his shoulder, what if it's more of a time share, then we expect it.

You know, I'm not saying any of these things were likely, but the more macro point is that in showdown, sometimes, sometimes one catches enough.

And so the point we tried to repeatedly make leading up to the game was that that slate, that Super Bowl slate was priced so tightly that even taking a zero or a one from someone like Hopkins.

You know, at $200, well, that could still be the optimal, because it allowed you to get Cooper Cups, Stafford, Burrow, T. O'Dowell, Chase, mixing whatever.

You know, showdown is a really interesting game.

It's massively weighted toward game theory over micro player takes, I think.

You know, it's wildly swingy.

You know, a lot of times, you know, Kendall Blanton stays healthy and Hopkins looks like a bad playing hindsight, maybe.

But I really do like showdown when I have time to sit down and think through it, you know, doing the show on Monday nights that we did with our showdown King Cody.

You know, it's really deep, you know, even though the format is just for one game, it's really deep.

And so there's a lot of different ways to think about it. And again, I think it's really, really interesting.

So hopefully some of you guys who were playing showdown and during the Super Bowl for the first time got a good taste of it and had a good experience and want to play going forward.

Because I do think that, man, it's so interesting and each slate is so unique in the Hopkins stuff.

You know, on certain Slates that aren't priced, that tightly Hopkins would have been just an egregious play.

But on this particular slate, I do think that it made a lot of sense.

Good to see it work out.
