of Riverside, none other than Andy McCarthy. Hey, Rich, how are you? Not too bad, you? Well,

I'm done with college baseball, so I've had to go back to the Mets. Oh, sorry about that. Bad time

to reconnect. Oof. And I wish I could get whipped up about the Knicks. I used to be a huge Nick fan.

And some of my brothers still are.

So they're really, I shouldn't say they're on the bandwagon because they were on it for all the losing years, too.

I just, I kind of stopped watching the NBA.

I don't really know why, except that I just, the game doesn't look as nice to me

as it used to look. You know, I think actually, if I, you like every innovation, so you wouldn't,

you wouldn't care for this. But if I had my druthers, I would get rid of the three point line.

I think it probably, it probably ruined basketball.

And the two things that ruined basketball were probably the three-point line and the

pistons in the 90s and that style of what they, it was actually criminal assault, but they called

it defense.

So the games, I remember when I was a kid, it was not unusual to have a game.

Like you'd wake up in the morning and look at the paper and the next one or lost like

134 to 129.

You had these games that were run and gun kind of contests.

And all of a sudden, in the 90s 90s when the pistons had their run which uh happily

jordan's bulls ultimately beat them and and kind of reversed the style of play but their

their style of play was to play the game in the 70s, you know, the scores in the 70s.

And they were the bad news or I can't remember what they're...
